  • Clutch lever/assembly advice please

Hi, Ive got a CBR929 complete front end in my Hawk but I dont have a clutch lever or the original perch/mount. Ive got an adjustable stubby brake lever and Im trying to match them..
As I dont have the original perch, can I just put anything on as long as its cable operated?, Im assuming most handlebars are same diameter so any cable operated clutch setup should work... or am I missing something?

All of the Hondas that I have measured came wirth a 7/8" diameter handlebar (22mm)

    EBay has new Chinese assemblies:

      The short answer is yes
      the long answer is no

the bar size is the same on everything
the clutch pertch will fit. I like the short motion pro one
but it won’t work with the stock left hand switch gear on the hawk, but does work on the race bikes tha don’t have switches there.

most motorcycle (not dirt bike) perch and lever combos will work

As long as you're able to dial in the correct freeplay, you'll be fine. I have a 99 R6 perch and lever on my track Hawk.

The perch has the starter safety switch in it... so you might have to work around that.

Or just disable it.... Safety is for people with foresight. We don't need that shit around here.

Bypassing safety is an educated decision for whoever wants to make it.

I'm partial to zx636 clutch perches myself. They have a cool bronze finish.
