    how to remove carbon

Well the tidy up has begun...

First discovery on removing the can, is the header pipes are coked up, my question is, after removing the header pipes wants the best method for removing carbon buildup (19 years worth ) inside the header pipes ?.

I have to take the header pipes off any way as the clutch is getting some attention also

looks the words "service" and "maintence" were foreign words to the previous owner .

I suspect there will be more questions as more bits are removed and other discoveries made

Try oven cleaner. Worked a treat on a VFR cylinder head, so should do the same on pipes.

Yep, easy off will do wonders, for your pipes, run a coat hanger through and use a rag wrapped in the end and pull it through....
