It doesn't directly. The ignition disconnects all the other lights so the tail light can be left on with the key in the P position. The tail lights are always part of the circuit.

The schematics of all the switches are at the bottom of the wiring diagram.

Tail light does not illuminate- The brake light works

BTW which wire from the ignition switch runs the tail light?

The headlight issue was found with a faulty wire.

Kinda strange both headlight and running tail light went out the same time- but stuff happens

Or you don't have stock front turn signals and they don't have a running light function at all.

No rear running lights meaning no tail light? Or no dim glow from the rear turn signals?

For the front: there is a brown wire with a blue stripe that connects to a brown wire with a black stripe via a bullet connector you should check. It resides in the headlight housing.

  • Exploed view of Key assembley wanted - No running lights

    Hello

Currently I have no running lights front or back

Engine starts and all the other lights/accessories/ gauges work .And I have checked all the connecting points everywhere including the fuses

I would like to see a view of the internal key assembly before tearing things apart .Does any one have photos of the key assembly as I suspect there is a fault within the key mechanism.

No I am not going to do volt/ resistance tests.

If there is a continuity test for running lights, I would like to know that

Working...
