            Shame. Tappets are easy.10mm wrench and feeler gauges.When you do it.....err on the side of loose. if it says....006-.008......shoot for .00725 or something like that.A loose .007 Bike is sure clean.

              Tappets are down right fun to do after 16 shim under buckets.

                  Hell yeah.I got stuck with a 84 ninja 1000 as my penance at the shop once....had that head off so many times......wore out an Ingersoll-Rand air ratchet.It was all screwed up.Bent valve....
                  timing off a tooth....learned a lot fixing that thing.

                    Not looking forward to that on my other bike. I've never done shims before but it doesn't sound fun but the bike is new to me and who know if it has ever been done before.
