Nah, it's all in good condition. No play, just a tiny bit of surface corrosion which I've since cleaned up. Sprocket was in good condition too.

Hard to tell from the smaller photos but it looks like before you get to far along you may want to replace that output shaft. Looks like a ton of wear on the splines

Project basket case
Though I'd start a new thread and keep all the developments of this resto in one place. As some of you may know I recently acquired a basket case of a 400 Bros. 50k kms on the clock, mostly all there apart from the seat/seat cowl (ill be making something up in due course.)
I've quickly stripped it down and am going through it piece by piece, cleaning components up as I go and getting a parts list together ready to put it all back together.
Aside from the usual bearings and other wear items, it's generally in good, If a bit mucky, order.
However, I've come across my first bit of obvious previous owner(s) ham-fisted maintenance in the form of a broken clutch pressure plate and butchered clutch nut.
The clutch springs are out of spec and from what I can tell I'm missing an anti judder spring and the friction plates all seem to be the same (I gather there should be 3 different types in the stack?)
So there is some work to do here. If anyone has a spare clutch pressure plate in the UK, please give me a shoutYou do not have permission to view this gallery.
