The resto mod/build with no name.(code name Harri3t)

So, after a bit of comms back and forth with the seller and a 6 hr road trip , I've got the NTV.
Its really red, and apart from a droopy indicator its in surprisingly good cosmetic condition.
Too knackered to have a proper look though, that can wait till tomorrow.

    Background.
Wheeled it outside for a quick wash and closer inspection.
There's a few items of concern, lack of tank rubbers and battery strap missing but these are easy to find on eBay right,Right??
All the fluids seem fresh, oil filter is brand new as is the air filter.
The forks are in really good condition but with a massive amount of sag, so new springs/cbr cartridges added to the shopping list.
    It starts on the button/
Left to warm up to check it over.
Aaaand this is where the fun starts.
Wispy vapour from the under the tank, I mean I've just cleaned it. It's just water burning off.
    Nope.
Tank off and can see the thermo housing needs some tlc, a weep is visible from the housing joint face.
The stat is toast as is the smaller o ring.
More to be added to the shopping list, still at least there is less to strip off the bike now.

Have had time for a closer inspection of the thermo housing
And the filler neck is also toast
I don’t trust the o ring shoulder nor the cap seal face.
The part is upwards of 90 so searching eBay for a suitable newer replacement
