    Proud new member

    Hi all,

Just bought my Hawk 88 yesterday. I am still smiling from the ride home! I have been riding for 4 years, the last two years track only. After a long break from motorcycles I bought the Hawk. I have always wanted one of these bikes, not sure why till yesterday. I love it already! Well just wanted to say hi, many questions to follow I am sure. Any North Carolina members out there?

Welcome Lance. Congrats on the new ride.

I work in Burlington. Small world. Did you by chance buy it from the Chapel Hill craigslist listing?

Sweet! That bike looked great from the ad. I have grey 88 also, but mine is super rough and in a non-mobile state right now. I am jealous .

Yea the bike is clean with the exception of the hack job done on the seat cowl. I guess that will be the first piece i buy, then SS brake lines.

Yeah that was the only blemish I saw. Someone in the forum may have a cowl. Also there is a guy in Hickory who is parting out several hawks. He may have one also. PM me if you want his email.

Welcome to the forum, good to see some more NC hawkers on here. I think you may be able to get seat cowls from service honda, I was looking on there yesterday and I think they're running about 230ish. There's also a TON of seat and tail mods on here so browse around and see what you like. I'm also looking for a new rear cowl as I just ordered a seat cover from Germany. If you're going to the track this season post up and let us know, I just signed up for memorial day weekend at VIR. I'm in Raleigh by the way.

I have a seat cowl I need to get rid of.

Shoot me a P.M. with a reasonable offer.

I will be riding my Hawk from Alabama to Myrtle Beach for bike week in May if any NC or SC Hawks want to meet up, drink a few, and represent. The dates for me will be May11 - 15 with a stop in Charlotte the night before on the 10th.

thanks, but nab is the one who may need one. The seat cowl may be the only decent part I have

ThunderChicken, unfortunately my hawk will not be together by then. Drink one for me though

jaysunOne, the nite hawk is an in-line 4. For a few years Honda made a shaft
driven model known as the NiteHawk 650SC. It was my first bike, i hope to keep it till i die.
