Hi all
My name's Richard and I'm an Old Fart of 47 who has a black Hawk 650 from 1988. My bike is in very good condition and is (almost) standard, the only mods being a 'fender extender' for our wet weather and a 'bikini' fairing which helps with the wind pressure.
My bike's originally from Canada and was exported to Holland in 1991, and from there to the UK in 1992. It's only done 66000 kms (that's about 40,000 miles) and I've had her since May last year (2006). I'll post some pics later.
There aren't many Hawks here in the UK: there are a fair few imported Bros models, as these were a big hit with couriers, for reasons we all know: nimble, quick, narrow, torquey, etc etc...
One thing puzzles me: it's black with red lettering. I've read that they were only produced in grey and red for the US market?
Anyway, hi guys and I hope we'll get along fine - I'm sure I'll need some mechanical advice as things go.
