My name is Regina 35 and from holland. I used to own a HAWK GT but sold it to a friend 7 years ago. I allways regreted that I sold my Hawk but he made a promisse to take good care of it.
Last year I bought the bike back from that same friend only he didn't take good care of it. He left it in a garden for 2 years and it never rode again. Untill now. Last november i bought it back and started reviving my old HAWK.
www.etengien.nl for pictures (sorry folks it is in dutch). Hopefully within 3 weeks i will put on some new tyres and the HAWK will ride again, the only thing i need to do then is get it repainted again. And road approved.
All the work done so far is done by myself (not knowing how or what to do on a bike) and with a friend of mine who knew a bit more.
1 thing is for sure I will never sell it again
    Nice to be here

wow. great job bringing her back from the outdoor life. It is great to see your project, my hawk had lived a long life outside before I got it too. A lot of stuff your are dealing with is very similar to my case. I am not quite as far along as you are, and I my resto is not quite the quality of yours .. more the rattle can variety. Keep us posted with pics.

on an unrelated side note, someone told me my name "kip" meant chicken in dutch?
