Way nice bike!!
It looks like you have a lot of mods there. Whts been done engine-wise? Very nice work.
Freaky how it looks a lot like mine, (we have a lot of the same mods) same colors and everything. Will update members rides soon.
-I'm sorry....I did not know she was your sister.
-If Buckleys cold mixture went rancid......how would anybody know????
-Dont piss off the quiet guy with the chain saw.
Hi Pixel, the exhaust systems can be bought from The Hawk God.
It is a converted M4 system with shortened muffler canister.
UMMMMMMM... Thanks for answering for me fabitappi but, you are only part correct. If you studied the picture a little more closly, you would have noticed that I made it in my garage with Vance & Hines AND M4 parts. I actualy straightened and shortened the collector to fix the common dragging/clearance issues and then used a V&H muffler from a Titanium Yamaha R1 system shortened only a few inches so it's not soo obnoxious like the usual set-up . As for everyone else, thanks so much for the positive feedback. This might answer a few questions, Let me start by saying I'm Rich L. from Connecticut. Married W/ no kids. Been street riding (legally) for 14 yrs., and rode in the dirt since I was 4. (im 30 now) I drag race Mustangs and have owned everything from double R's to Ducati's and everything in-between but, have found myself back to my roots. I took my motorcycle license test as a teenager on my big brothers shiny new Hawk GT back in the day and have NEVER forgotten that bike so... that's where my affection for our beloved Hawk began! I've had my (virgin low mile) Red 89 Hawk for about a year now and have done a few mods to it. I installed a Complete 1994 CBR600 F2 adjustable cartridge front end (traxxion dynamics tuned), EBC 310mm full floater big brake kit, Black Vortex 520 chain and sprocket conversion geared for a bit more torque, Barnett HD clutch kit, Factory shift kit, stage 3 Factory jet kit, UNI pods, EBC HH brake pads both ends, GRC billet bar end mirrors, GRC radial adjust levers, steel braided lines both ends, Fox twin clicker rear shock (freshly rebuilt from FOX), CBR 1000F clip ons, Corbin Gunfighter saddle, powder coated black and pin-striped red wheels, custom under belly exhaust, rear fender delete with blinkers integrated into the tail light, billet mini blinkers in front, HID headlight conversion, black Vortex billet fuel cap, billet pegs, billet preload adjusters, and a VFR rear wheel conversion. I'm sure I've forgot a few things but that's the brunt of it. Talk to you soon!
Hi Juicedstang! Beautiful job on that bike. I'd love to know more about your headlight conversion.... what did you do? Did you find a better headlight that fits in the stock bucket? Changes to wiring required? I need better light!
I used a Vance & Hines SSR repackable can as well. Pretty easy to work with. My front collector is modified to accept both headers, so I dont waste space using a Y pipe. The overall length is about the same, but mine worked out to be further away from the rear tire. I really like that hanger, it makes it look factory. How do you like the sound?

Again guys, Thanks for all the complements !!!
Q1) The HID light conversion was a cheapo made in China, Egay special . Pretty much a plug and play. The light replaces the stock bulb and you just wire up the ballast/ignighter per the instructions. No high beam though, only one setting. The hardest part was hide'n all the extra wires and crap. But, It's already giving me issues after only a few months and I'm seriously considering putting a hi output bulb (like a sylvaina silverstar) BACK in! All I can say is, when it comes to HID lighting, you get what you pay for!!!
Q2) The sound of the V&H under-belly is a little loud only after a long ride and sounds a little on the raspier side than deeper like say an M4 full system. To be honest, the underbelly system is going to get removed as soon as my custom "lefty" system is finished. That is IF Rod Holland from Hiperform.com ever finishes it!!!!! ROD, IF YOUR READING THIS... PLEASE GET IT DONE ALREADY!!
About the sound: yes, I know the raspy sharp sound you are talking about. Sort of like one of those african drums they hit with a stick.
After it has warmed up at idle, and under load accelerating, it sounds great.
I'm thinking of an undertail as a future project, using one of those short Yosh trapezoidal cans, mounted tight under the stock subframe. The extra pipe length should help make a deeper sound.
