    Hello Everyone!

Been away from the Hawk World for awhile. Used to race a Hawk in the Northeast. Did some winning, did some building, had agreat time with Hawks. Had one at the dealership today, had to go for a test ride. Had a blast. Miss mine, the pieces are scattered to the wind. SOme here some there.

    Hey Erik,
I met you the other day @ Bettencourts looking for dowel pins. Great to meat you. It sounds like you have made some monster motors in the past. I'll be seeing you around.

Not looking for a Hawk right now. But may be in the future. Just checking in. Still have my hands in a few motors from time to time. I have never built the ultimate Hawk, Have ideas in my mind for years, but have never done it. Here's what I am thinking.

Engine: Typical 90-92 hp motor, Fuel injected (motec) with barrel valves R&R head set up, 31.5 mm intake valves, welded combustion chambers, slipper clutch, crower ti rods, ti valves. CLose ratio gearbox, Rem coated gears, crank, cam, Ti Nitrided cam and rockers. Thermal Barrier coated exhaust ports

Suspension: TZ 250 swingarm with rising rate linkage and Ohlins shock
Ohlins 250 forks with radial brakes and magnesium triple clamp, Marvic wheels front and back.

Chassis, Radically altered steering stem angle with down tube spar reduction in length (to reduce the wheel base) and bring the countershaft closer to the swingarm pivot. Rear body work in carbon that is self supportive without subframe and mounting a ducted radiator, yes thats right the radiator under the tail like the Britten (yes I have worked on one). Carbon fiber tank integrated into the tail section with ducting for the rear mounted radiator.Small carbon bodywork with Ram air inlet under the stem. Titanium hardware,

Special attention to internal airflow and proper reattachment of the air in the tail of the bike.

Thats about it. Target weight 285lbs, Target HP 95, slightly smaller and shorter than a standard Hawk. Thats about it.
