    Another Dutchie

Hi all, I`m new here. I`ve been riding a `89 Hawk for over 2 years now and I still love it. it lacks a bit of punch so you`ll usually see me griping about that.

I`m from Holland so excuse my crappy english btw. My hawk is a red (more or less) US model form `89. the mods I`ve got so far include:

    - SB handlebar
    - Steel braking line for the front brake
    - 4 piston Nissin brake caliper
    - speedgas throttle
    - K&N airfilter pods
    - I have a gizmo installed that alters the ignition timing. I have no idea what it`s called in english though...
    - I removed the centre stand because it`s heavy and it made me bounce around roundabout.
    - exhaust is a Bos oval aluninum high mount.

    that`s about it I guess...
What was the start of all this?
When did the cogs of my Hawk begin to turn?
Perhaps it is impossible to grasp the answer now,
from deep within the flow of time...

But, for a certainty, back then,
I loved it so much, yet hated so many.
I hurt others and was hurt myself...

Yet even then, I rode like the wind,
    whilst my laughter echoed
    under cerulean skies...

Thanks dash. It's just a pity I won't be able to ride it for 2 weeks. My forks have been sent off to be re-chromed I'm getting withdrawal symptoms already and I only took it in to the shop yesterday

yep. I`ve been searching the internet for a decent Hawk/Bros board but they were either in German

or they were dead. Glad I found this board with active members and a lot of know-how.
