Hey Hawkers!!!

Greetings from the East Bay (Alameda). I've been lurking around the site for a bit now, but seeing as I finally scored my Hawk last weekend, I thought it finally time to say hello.

So much to love about the Hawk, but I'm sure that my Hawk-lust is a bit more intense seeing as I'm graduating from my 23hp Ninja 250 I'm hoping to squeeze in some riding this weekend, but I need to hit a tire shop for the leaky valve stem I've got on the front.

'89 and red, she is pretty clean and mostly stock. Small dent in the tank, but I'm still so stoked to have her, I don't care much about it at the moment! I've got some clip-on's and Two Brothers exhaust, and am definitely looking forward to more mods (slowly, but surely). For now I'm happy just to get rid of my stock mirrors (with a pair of napoleons).

I love the forum and all of the incredible info and great humor (no, that's not a cue for any ninja 250 noob jabs!).

I'll try to keep my Hawker noob queries to a humble, articulate, dull roar..... thanks in advance for your patience!!

First you need to upload your pics to some webspace if you have any or create a photobucket or imageshack type account then copy the url of the pic and paste it into the form. Then highlight it and click img.

Hello Everyone:
Had my Hawk out on the sidewalk today (almost got a ticket!) and hawkcharmer saw it and stopped by (nice talking with you and your friend). She told me about Fabian's seat covers so I thought I'd register here and find out how to get one for my Hawk (I PM'd Fabian).

So, about the Hawk; it's an 89 that I picked up in Southern California in 1998; it has a 92 Suzuki GSXR 750 front end, custom built exhaust and a few more special bits, the engine is stock with a Factory jet kit. The bike has been a great addition to the family's collection.

finally figured out how to get the pic to load....

I just bought her 2 weeks ago.... 65k miles and hadn't been regularly ridden (but garaged!) for over a year. in the shop now getting a thorough go over along with new fork seals and new brake pads....

looking forward to getting my first real ride in this weekend!
