    Another in SF East Bay

    Hello Everyone:
Had my Hawk out on the sidewalk today (almost got a ticket!) and hawkcharmer saw it and stopped by (nice talking with you and your friend). She told me about Fabian's seat covers so I thought I'd register here and find out how to get one for my Hawk (I PM'd Fabian).

So, about the Hawk; it's an 89 that I picked up in Southern California in 1998; it has a 92 Suzuki GSXR 750 front end, custom built exhaust and a few more special bits, the engine is stock with a Factory jet kit. The bike has been a great addition to the family's collection.

Yeah that custom high mount is SWEET! Know who made it or where it is from?

Know the particulars of installing the GSXR front end on the Hawk?

                          All

nomoduc - No, I'm not on BARF. A ride sounds good, email me.

drinmotoracer - I made the seat cover myself, using aluminum sheet, but after seeing those offered by Fabio, I'm not happy with mine... I've ordered one of his.

thepathlesstaken - Also made the custom exhaust myself. The GSXR front end was easy, except for the brackets for the light, turn signals and instrument cluster - that was QUITE time consuming. The front end only required the installation of a 4mm shim between the lower bearing race and head, I took a stock race and ground it down to 4mm. I then installed new races and needle bearings.
