    Returning to forum, Austin, TX

I was a member of the forum when it first started, but have forgotten my info and changed email since, so I re-registered. :P

I have just relocated to Austin, TX. And as you can probably guess from my user name, I have a blue 88 Hawk. Has some basic mods, Penske shock, Race Tech springs and emulator, corbin seat, and HVMP bar ends.

Due to arrival of my son and the move, I have not been able to get out on the Hawk much, but look forward to exploring the hill country here outside Austin. I have seen several Hawks on the road here, are any of you members here?

Anyway, look forward to talk to everyone here again.

    Eric

Thanks moto. I have a question. Do you have any recommendations for service shops in Austin? I have had Woods Honda recommended, but I would like to hear what others have to say. I usually have done most of the work on the bike myself to date, I just do not have much time these days though to spend on it, so I am looking for a service center that can be trusted.

              Eric.....

              Zabors....

I useta work at Woods..... there are a couple of guys that I would trust...Ted, Melvin and Charlie(Scmedly, Melvis, and Snarly). If you could hook up with any of these guys you would be ok.

But I've know Paul Zabor for 30 years....he is the only one that I would let mess with my bike.

              Tell him I sent you....

BUT.... don't bring your bike to him dirty, don't ask when it will be ready and don't call checking on it every hour!!!!

Paul is old school, and really know is stuff. He totaly amazes me with his insite and can tell what's going to fail next.

              Tooles....

                Doug,

Thanks alot for the info. Zabors is actually not too far from me either. I live off 2222 not far from MOPAC.

Im with Moto, if you choose to go to a mechanic Ive heard nothing but good things about Zabors. Hope you're running tip top soon.

Yeah, Zabors got the nod from my brother-in-law as well. He is pretty much in the know as well from his years racing AMA Superbikes. Now I just need things to calm down a bit at work so that I can actually do something about this.
