    New member alert!!

Evening all (or morning, afternoon, middle of the night....you get the picture )

Just picked up a 1989 model 650 Bros last sunday, spent the whole of this week dismantling it, cleaning, polishing, painting or replacing various bits and bobs. Its standard at the moment save for a braided front brake line, its not going to stay that way for long though

Its not my first Bros, I was an early convert back in 1992 with a Bros 400 at the tender age of 21. I've been away from bikes for 8 years now, coincidently I have an 8 year old son too. Nice to be back on two wheels.

Welcome to the forum Foghorn. It's good to have another UK Bros owner on here, we are slowly growing in numbers. I was in your neck of the woods 2 weeks ago at that bike clothing place you have there in Northwich (not sure of the name). I'm just down the M6, in Stoke. Post up some pics in the members rides section when you can.

Thanks Swipe, the shop is J & S, less than a mile from my house. Haven't been in there for years, dug all my old kit out of the loft last weekend

My wife took some pics of the kids sitting on daddys new toy last weekend. Will upload them off the camera this weekend.

"Well I say! Welcome to the forum, ole boy." [comedy southern rooster voice off]

I'm just in Chester, and there's another Brosser up in St Helens. The four of us could have our own NW chapter meet! Anyone else hiding in the shadows? That is we could get together after I've put the finishing touches on the Hover-Hawk mod for dealing with what passes as weather this year...

I was planning a North Wales rideout/meet for this summer, but after asking the UK hawklist for preferences (weekday/weekend/one day/multi day) and getting zero response, the weather then turned apocalyptic, so my motivation to continue organising waned. Of course every weekend I haven't been working, I've been busy which hasn't helped either. Meh.

We should organise a get together, even if it isn't a big ride. I'll post a new thread...
