    New Member - Canada

Just bought a 89' Hawk in Montreal and brought it back to Newfoundland, where I live. Good to see there is a site dedicated to the hawk. The only mods I am interested in doing is returning the bike to stock. The bike looks best in original form.

Greetings !! Nice to see another Canadian on the board.
Did you drive your Hawk from La Belle Provence? Probably not, though. You would've had to have stopped 15 times for fuel !!

If you were looking for a support group you're barking up the wrong tree. This place is fulla enablers dude. - Shooter77us

      Welcome to the forum.

I try to adhere to the "to each his/her own" school of thought when it comes to bike mods, however I too am most enamored with the design as it was originally rolled out in the Honda dealer showrooms back in the day. While there are obvious performance gains to be had from the large variety of mods available out there, I've yet to see one that visually betters the original design to my eyes. For that matter, I pretty much feel that way when when it comes to amost any great vehicle out there.

It seems that truly clean, unmolested Hawks are somewhat far and few between these days. Fortunately, parts are readily available to return a Hawk to its stock form if so desired.

Note that the HawkGT list is also a great place for information. I've found that life as a new Hawk owner is made much easier by these great online resources (thanks again to all of those who go to the effort to maintain this site and to everyone else who participates).

      Enjoy!

The nice thing is that its usually cheaper to go from mod'd to stock than the other way round.
Welcome to the board, and let me be the first to ask, 'so what do you have to sell/what do you need....'

          Welcome
What was the start of all this?
When did the cogs of my Hawk begin to turn?
Perhaps it is impossible to grasp the answer now,
from deep within the flow of time...

But, for a certainty, back then,
I loved it so much, yet hated so many.
I hurt others and was hurt myself...

Yet even then, I rode like the wind,
          whilst my laughter echoed
          under cerulean skies...

Ya I like the stock Bros/Hawk but every second bike I see is a Bros stock not in the best of shape I might add.

            Welcome..

Welcome. I'm new here too. I have an 88' Hawk GT here in Ottawa. Mine's all stock except for it being painted Ducati Yellow by the previous owner.

Yes, Welcome! I like the stock look too but I'm still going to mod a bit. I think there are some things you can do that compliment the stock look without ruining it!

That would be probably about just right to keep you butt from getting saddle sore! Every 250KM fuel stop, stretch the legs! LOL
