        welcome.
What was the start of all this?
When did the cogs of my Hawk begin to turn?
Perhaps it is impossible to grasp the answer now,
from deep within the flow of time...

But, for a certainty, back then,
I loved it so much, yet hated so many.
I hurt others and was hurt myself...

Yet even then, I rode like the wind,
        whilst my laughter echoed
        under cerulean skies...

          Welcome

          Welcome to the forum.

I just discovered your site the other day.

          Regarding the Corbin saddle:
Just curious if you might happen to be a "shorter" rider (someone with an inseam of 32" or less)? I'm wondering if the Corbin, with its wider profile, would still be considered really comfortable for those of us who might benefit from the slimer stock saddle...

              Guth,

Actually you're right, I am a bit on the short side. I'm 5'8" with a 30 inseam. With the Corbin, I'm actually sitting an inch or two higher off the ground. The best thing about the Corbin is that it doesn't slope into the tank. It really feels nice. I've been riding with the stock seat since 92 and I'm regretful that I haven't bought the seat sooner.

Hawktane - as a fellow 5'8" rider (31" inseam), I appreciate the feedback. Forgot to mention earlier that I enjoyed your site.

MasterBates - do mean that you slid from side to side?

                  Thanks,
                  Guth

                    Corbin Seat

MasterBates - I totally understand what you're talking about with the sliding back and forth. I thought that would have been a problem as well. The Corbin does have a larger seat "dish". But so far this has not been a problem for me. I don't mind that side effect I guess.

I should've mentioned that my bike has the clip-ons mounted below the triple clamp. So with the stock seat sloping into the tank and my hand grips being so low, it makes for an uncomfortable ride in my situation. Because I'm leaning forward to the point that I'm no longer sitting on my arse, but rather on the old Jimmys. That being said, when I had the bike in stock form, the seat was great and worked very well in the more upright riding position.
