    Greetings from Georgia.........

Hi all, I'm happy to say that I'm FINALLY a Hawk GT owner. I've wanted a Hawk GT for as long as they've been out but never found one at the right time.......until now.

I just drove up to Tennessee and bought the 1988 Hawk GT that theopsmanager had for sale and rode it home. It's not perfect and needs a few things but for the most part, she's awesome! (Everything it needs is just small cosmetic stuff.)

I finally got to ride one of my dream bikes and I couldn't be happier. So, now I get the joy of tracking down the stuff I need to make her TRULY perfect.

Loaded up and ready to go! (Actually that was my first pit stop for gas, soda and some chips.)

Made it home and stopped at Sonic for a Grape Slush!

So, that's it. Needs a few small things, nothing major. The exhaust is my first priority as I hate it. Heh. Well, the brake lever and switch should REALLY be my FIRST priority.

So, that's about it. My name is Mike and I'm happy to be here. I've owned (2) Suzuki GS500 E, (1) Suzuki GSX 600, (1) Kawasaki EX-250 and FINALLY a 1988 Hawk GT!

Nope. I'm going to have her painted Ducati Red!
            I don't dislike the yellow but it's not what I want. =)

Oh, I'm sure I'll do something or another. I've been looking at some of the tail sections, cartridge emulators, stuff like that. =)

Not real sure where the color came from but it is a really really bad job. You can easily scratch it off with a fingernail. Since it needs to be painted anyway, I'm thinking Ducati Red and painting the rims Black. Still haven't made up my mind though and there are other things that take priority.

                        Thanks for all the welcomes!
This bike will be well cared for and when I'm done, look very nice!

DEFINITELY not me. I'm a pretty "wuss" rider.
I never rode motorcycles to go fast, drag knees, or race.
I simply enjoy riding and like to stop and snap pictures and stuff.
If I went that fast or rode like that, I'd be dead before the bike stopped.
