in case anybody's interested, I'm attaching the link for our tshirt supplier, they've also got a couple of other things. we don't stock them personally anymore.

you ought to see people's reaction when I wear one of mine at the airport. I guess people getting ready to board a jet don't think its all that amusing. one of our guys was flying to california, they refused to let him board until he turned his shirt inside out. that's just silly.

we'd get a lot of our customers from the ones that had a get-off. when we'd get to the site to pick up the bike, they'd take one look at our shirts and ask where we were selling them. one poor fella, though nothing was broken, was so beat up. I went and got him a shirt and gave it to him for free, I found him lying flat on a reclining lawn chair after the accident.

Hi to all of you. I tried to introduce myself earlier somewhere else in the forum obviously not here. Its a bit difficult for the newcomers I think! Anyway I'm dimr1 from Greece, have uploaded two photos of my pretty girl, its nice for many people around the world to share the same nice feelings for this cute bike. I hope you all enjoy and have fun with your rides.

Hi Karen they are from the island I live in Greece. I try to get technically comfortable with the site but it seems very difficult to upload or watch or whatever! I guess I need some laps around the track...

Hello all. I just found this forum after years of not paying much attention to my Hawk. I'm a 51 year old Hawk GT lover from way back. My current (running) ride is a 1997 BMW R1100RS but I have an 89 NT650 project tucked in the corner of my garage waiting for TLC this year. It has been sitting for almost 10 years and was somewhat ratty when I parked it. I still have Gold valve emulators, Fox shock, M4 exhaust, pod air filters and jet kit NIB waiting to bring her back to life.

I joined the old HawkGT list years ago but never really got involved. Young kids, three job changes and three moves got in the way. The kids were the only diversion that were worth sacrificing riding for. I have two daughters aged 10 and 2. I hope at least one of them will ride with me when they are older. They both think it's cool that dad has a motorcycle. My 2 year old already wants to ride and drive everything from her push toys to my cousin's Kubota front end loader.

                      Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you have a nice HAWK that will get some nice upgrades!

My teen-age daughters had some friends over and were filming a video project for school in the front yard. I came home from work on my NT, and their dropped-jaw friends were suprised to see that the guy waving at them was the dad of the girls they were visitiing.

The friends commented on how cool it must be to have a dad that rides a sweet MC. All they said was he rides all the time, so we're used to it, but yeah, it is cool.

                      Where are you located?
                      peace,

I live in central NJ near the northern edge of what is known as the Pine Barrens. It is mostly undeveloped scrub pine forest crisscrossed by two lane blacktop and dirt roads. It would be great riding if the land wasn't so flat around here. It is great dual purpose or off road riding if you know where to go.

It is fun having kids that appreciate dad on a bike but the flip side is that most of my male friends' wives don't want them anywhere near me. Afraid I will seduce them to the dark side. None of my riding buddies from my 20's and 30's are still riding. The only group of enthusiastic riders I know are in the local BMW club. There, I am the young guy! Most are retired and ride serious miles each year.

Hello, my name is John and I have a problem.

I have succombed to peer pressure from a friend of mine (Doc) and purchased a Hawk. It's a track bike that I picked up from another member on the forum (Rich Flavor). 700cc's, M4 exhaust, Hiperpro tail, 954rr front end, Woodcraft rearsets, Vortex clip ons, and a lot more goodies that he hooked me up with. I picked it up just before Christmas and haven't stopped tinkering. Slow but steady.

I'm a Vermonter and regularly attend "bike night" meetings to help with my cravings. Unfortunately it is more of an enabling situation because Doc was one of the creators and he has done nothing to reduce my Hawk cravings. Quite the opposite. A neighbor of mine is also a new Hawk owner (another victim of Doc).

Hmm. I think I'm beginning to see my problem. Doc....

                            Howdy

I'm fairly new to this forum, signed up 2-3 months back and then got busy again. I moved to south Florida a few years ago and they really don't know about Hawk GT's down here, of course not too many twisties down here. When I approached the parts counter of the local Honda dealer to inquire about some stuff for my bike, the first respones was "a what", it was a quick flash back to Fred Gwynne in "My Cousin Vinny" after Vinny says "yout". Anyhow, if anyone can direct me to a Honda dealer in Georgia, Tennesee or the Carolina's who know's these bikes, that would be a great help, will get some photos up soon, thanks.

Hello! I am very new to the Hawk "scene." In fact, I don't even own one yet. I have been looking for one for the last couple months. I have just been checking Cycletrader and Craigslist and haven't found much of anything. This website is great. I went straight to the For Sale forum and saw three for sale immediately! Currently, my garage is empty as far as bikes go. I previously owned a BMW 650cs and a Honda RC51. After selling both, I realized I couldn't live without a bike. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but I knew I really enjoyed the Honda v-twins. My buddy turned me on to the Hawk GT's one day when he sent me a for sale post of one he found online. I've been searching ever since. Anyway, glad to be here!
