    Hows it going

    Hows it going..

Bit about myself.. i live in Ireland.. I've been riding bikes for 8 years

I had a Yamaha R1 but while it was in for a service someone offered me money and his honda bros 400..

    So here i am..

I got it last week, I've already sent the pannels off to the paint shop, ordered a Fuel exhaust and a twin head light conversion..

I'm looking at doing the rear wheel conversion.. this is where i need some help. what fits etc etc without too much trouble

    Thanks

    Chris

    Welcome Chris.

Look in the Mechanical section about the conversion. Also goto www.hawkgt.com and look at the FAQ section.

VFR rear rims come immediately to mind (It's what I have) But I have heard Ducati rims go on too (you have to machine the wheel and/or modify your hub for both).

There has been recent disscusion about swapping the SSSA for a conventional F3 swinger to save weight when racing.

Hope that is enough food for thought.

    Welcoem again.

There is a bit. It is not a bolt on type mod.

welcome. there aren't many (if any) bolt-on rear wheel replacements that I know of, but any machine shop can modify the spindle to fit a VFR wheel. As Doc noted check out hawkgt.com, they'll have all the info you need.

btw. if you do go with a VFR wheel you'll be able to fit a 170 rear on (barely), anything bigger will rub.

I've taken the exhaust off... (new one should show up soon)

The tank, mud guard and under seat plastics have been sent off.. along with the plastic covers that go over the radiator..

I might spray these wheels white..

I've already done the front head lights (twin kit) but at some stage i'll have to shorten the wires (you can see them at the back)

              Pictures to follow
