    Hello all

How's it going? Ross Dale here. I'm 39 and live in Sturgis, South Dakota.
I am a blaster by trade, which is fun, because who doesn't like a good explosion? I ride a '90 Hawk, and my wife rides a 91.

A blaster? That's an interesting sounding job. So you just blow things up? Or...demolish buildings or something? Not sandblasting I assume.

Welcome to the forum, good to have ya! =)
    I know I dreamed you,
    A sin and a lie.
    I have my freedom,
But I don't have much time.
    Faith has been broken,
    Tears must be cried.
    Let's do some living,
    After we die.

Constuction blasting, as in blasting trenches and foundations in rock. I also do quarry blasting, which is more fun, since there generally aren't houses around and you can really let 'er fly.

Sorry, no pictures. We video tape a lot of the shots, but nothing on a digital format. The work kinda sucks, very labor intensive, but the last 5 minutes of every day is pretty cool. If you're interested in getting a job, find a blasting company and apply. Turnover is pretty high for the first 6 months employment (remember that hard work comment?), but it's all on the job training. As long as you're competent and not a felon, you should be fine.
