    Loosen front axle and axle pinch bolts also lower triple pinch bolts, leave the top triple clamp pinch bolts until you're ready to lower the bike on the forks

    Support the motor w floor jack or hang from cross spar tiedown (tank removed,) block/ under front tire so the forks don't fall out. Lower bike or raise forks to the desired OEM line or 5-10mm higher( above top triple).for faster steering input.

      Some of us run the height even lower... the " line " ends up 5-10mm above flush on the top triple

      of course you dont have the clip-ons shown below but the forks still need to be adjusted there to make the bike handle as designed.

        The line by the Red crow's foot , should be flush to the top of the top triple clamp, or 5 - 10mm above for quicker turn in.
