Hello from Britain I have joined as I picked up a Hawk recently that has stood in a shed for a while and I am in the process of going through everything replacing or servicing as required. I have already fallen for the twin plug head thing. Only spotting the extra centre plugs when I took the tank off

Welcome! I’m pretty new here too and it’s great, plethora of info here. I was surprised by the 4 plug 2 cylinder dealy too. I’m pretty sure the previous owner was too. The 2 visible plugs were brand new, the other 2 looked like shit

Yeah I have only taken the rear centre plug out so far and it looks like it's been there a loooooooong time the NGK lettering has faded so much it's unreadable. I hate to think what the front centre plug looks like.

Welcome! Congratulations on the new hawk.

I have from time to time kept a set of plugs in a hawk for a LONG time... If they spark well and plug hole that's a good enough spark plug for me. Haha
Hope you stick around and get to know everyone. Good group here.. and if squirrel gets grumpy at you pay him no mind.

The front centre plug. The little swine took me nearly an hour to remove

Don't have the factory took kit? The spark plug wrench works well.

No factory tools unfortunately. I was searching through all my tools looking for a plug socket of the right length, luckily I found one that just fitted though it could have done with being a little longer.

What does the factory plug tool look like I will try and find one on fleabay.

All plugs finally fitted. It now fires up instantly without any choke.

Next up oil and filters plus coolant change. Oil smells a bit of petrol/gasoline the petcock was leaking so worried some got through to cylinders. I can get Shell advance semi-synthetic for a good price locally, is it worth the extra £12 for the full synthetic.

                            Hello Fastmongrel
Is your bike a BROS or a Hawk? Can you post a photo or two of your aquisition?
