    Hey everyone! I just picked up a 1989 Honda Hawk GT that has been sitting for some time and I want to get it back on the road! Located in Nor Cal, I appreciate the Help this forum provides!

    looks pretty good, unusual front brake rotor needs fork seals and rear cowl repair for starters.old tires need replacement, fuel tank flush, carb clean and...........

          Once you get her all cleaned up you'll have a better idea what she needs.

            Little dirty but otherwise good. Strange that the forks and wheel look significantly worse than the rest of the bike.

              Chain is too tight!

              Looks like a good starting point. If I may make a suggestion.. get it home, get fresh oil in it, get the carbs clean, and run it. Once you know it runs, shift it.. once you know it runs and shifts start making a game plan.


              That looks like a bike that could be brought back by going through one system at a time while keeping it road worthy. Looks like it just sat for a good long while.

              What's the story with it? What is your plan?
              Don't spend money and buy, spend time and learn.
