  • First time rider and Hawk owner

First time ever owning and riding a motorcycle. I took a long drive to pick this bike up from my uncle and have already set aside some plans for aesthetic purposes. As of right now, she's a 1990 with 42k miles. Has had the tank swapped out for something else, as for what it is, I'm not 100% sure. Also either my uncle or the person before hand was a user on this site, check attachments for pictures of how the bike currently looks.

Hello and welcome! Great looking bike. I will let those with more knowledge on specifics comment on the customizations. You are going to love this bike. My first Hawk was bought back in November and it won a place in my heart with the first press of the starter. I have had many bikes over the years but this little gem is truly something special!

      That's a CBR 600 f2 or f3 (same thing) tank.

Nice looking bike and welcome. That left exit exhaust is a rare thing.

What are your plans for it?
Don't spend money and buy, spend time and learn.

I want to either wrap or paint the bike in a nardo grey color. Then try to modify the seat into a cafe racer style. Other than that, just the typical tlc on make everything shiny and like new again.

          Nice.

we did one in Honda Sonic Grey Pearl. Looks gray in the shade, but not the sun. But has that same kinda look.

Huh! I know I’ve seen that bike before perhaps at a West Coast Hawk Rally?
Anyway ... as a new rider, the Motorcycle Safety Foundation offers great training. And, if you can, plan on attending a Hawk Rally. Look for information in Announcements section in reference to CTHR or WCHR.
