    Cleaning Leather Jackets?

I did a quick search and couldn't come up with anything, so here we go -

What is your preferred method of cleaning your leather jacket(s)? My Alpinestars jacket is getting a little too dirty for my liking, and it's about time for a cleanin'. Alpinestars reccommends taking it to a specialty leather cleaner, but I'm not even sure I have a local cleaner - and I imagine that would cost a tad more than I care to spend.

    Thoughts, ideas, and experiences?

    Thanks!

I think you can search www.webbikeworld.com for some tips and product reviews.

What I use is called saddle soap. The same stuff that people use to clean off the saddles for their horses. It works well, keeps the leather supple and leaves no residue.

I buy mine at an equestrian store, but you should be able to find some at leather furniture stores. Costs about $8.00 Canadian for a fairly large tin and it'll last you quite a long time.

        Hope this helps
