I have two, I know there are many people out there that think they are blood hungry, child mauling, crazy, "mean", for all of those people, go kill yourself...just kidding but seriously
I think it's funny how the pit was Hellen Kellers choice of dog, a pitbull is the breed that sniffed out a bomb on a washington ferry, pitbulls make great service dogs, yet the media blows up when a pit hurts somebody. Personally I know of more labs that have bit children than pits. Any vet you go to will tell you that they have never had a problem with a pit ( at least the 3 vets I have gone to in the past) These dogs are great loyal dogs, even more so than labs in my opinion.
I know there are mean pits out there, and I think the owners should be fined for having a "mean" pitbull. There is only one way a pitbull grows up to be mean, and that is if it is trained to be mean.
My dogs go crazy when people come over, all they want to do is crawl into their laps and be touched, they get so excited when kids come over to play with them. My 5 year old twin neices (who only weighed about 35lbs) used to pull my male (who weighed 65lbs) into the yard by his collar, and he'd let them, with his tail wagging because they were touching him.
How many people have them? Who else can attest to their personality?
