xr 100 questions.. yeah I know this is a hawk forum

I am looking to increase my stable of non-running hondas. Looking at a cheap broken 99 xr 100. Wanted to see if any of you guys had any tips on them. This one has a lack of compression. I am assuming something is pretty wrong in the top end and possibly the whole motor is crap. The rest of the bike is supposedly decent. Anything else I should look for as problem areas? Anyone know of any good forums ( like this ) for them or places to look for motor parts? Thanks for any tips you may have.

You are in luck. I have an 04 xr100 that I use as a pit bike.

It is a POS but it was cheap and these things are easy to work on and cheap to buy parts.

How cheap is this one your looking at?

$200 is the offer. Now that is not Doc cheap I know , but seems fair no? I have been doing a little research on parts and they seem to be a lot of them around and pretty cheap although I have not seen many heads, which might be a key ingredient for this one. Knowing it has low to no compression, anything you can think of I should look for?
