      Texas Brew

Being originally from Texas, I'd have to say Shiner Bock.

Shiner Beer. Independently brewed in Shiner, Texas, since 1909.

Not to mention the great Bocktoberfest that's coming up. I gotta get back down there!

I'd have to go with Stella Artois. Damn good beer.
It's scary how slow I am!

WHOA - HOLY COW! Someone is drinking an Alaskan? Thats cool! I grew up in Juneau where its brewed, and always ask for it around the local beer places and they never have it. I drink Oly when I can get it, because thats what they drink in AK, or Rainier when I see it because thats what they drink in AK, but it sure would be nice to drink a GOOD beer that is from back home!

Random Trivia for your Alaskan - what was it's original name before the lawyers got involved?

I like micros... and since it is winter I'm into Winter Ales right now.
                Snow Cap is pretty tasty
                Jubelale isn't bad either.
Our local brewry has a winter seasonal call Frozen Lake that is pretty fantastic

For year arounds Alaskan Amber Ale is always a safe bet and Arrogant Bastard usually does me well (on multiple levels )

For session beer Oly is the best bet, but Bud Light does alright too.

No, no, it's dark. And kinda hard to find. I discovered it on vacation in AZ, after reading about it in GQ.

                        !!!!!!!!!NEGRA MODELO!!!!!!!!!

"Negra Modelo is a dark beer, very smooth and described as a "Vienna-Munich" type beer by the brewer."

Unfortunately, the Mexican food I had with my Mexican beer was - while just as good - somewhat (Somewhat? Who am I kidding? That was a bad day.)...er, Monteczuma-inducing.

Anyway, otherwise it's Guinness or Heineken.

When were talking about beer I assume you mean real ale and not that yellow fizzy liquid called lager that has to be drunk ice cold from a bottle with an insulation cup around it.

nope, people in the states only know that "yellow fizzy liquid"

I actually like to be able to taste the beer, but most people i know prefer it ICE cold, they just drink to get drunk - which I do as well, but at least taste what you are consuming...
