  • House cleaning

I've been trying to clean up my house for a week and it looks kinda the same as it always does - too much bike shit. I got rid of 2 FZR600 frames, 1 FZR 400 frame, YZF600 motor carbs and electronics, FZR600 electronics, 1 set of FZR600 wheels, '03 GSX-R front end, YZF600 exhaust system, set of hawk forks, and a Hawk tail. It made a slight difference, but I still got a freaking GS1100 in pieces and a Yamaha 850 triple sitting outside collecting dust.

I also went to start up the Hawk - fully charged battery - turned key, huh, no headlights, no indicators - no clicking of the starter. Fuses check out, but I'm getting 13V at the battery and 8V between the negative side of the battery and the red main power lead in the headlight bezel. FUBAR!!! Clutch diode is dead, maybe something is up with the starter relay - dropping the voltage or even worse, the harness could have weathered beyond readiness. FUCK
It's scary how slow I am!

'88 HawkGT - crashed as all hell - Hiperform subframe, VFR rear wheel, F3 front end, Penske shock.

'05 Ducati S2R - Monstrack mirrors, CRG levers, Evoluzione clutch slave cylinder, ProItalia tail chop, Arrow damper, Nichols flywheel, Suburban Machinery bars

There is no such thing as too much bike shit. Is there enough for a project bike?

oy, I already sold it last weekend... It was USD had carbon fender 6 pots - massive MC - but the stem was converted for an FZR400/600 track bike
          It was soooooo beautiful.

There's enough for a few project bikes at my place, but I need to get rid of the projects and just get my Hawk up and running again. Any future projects would most likely be a VTR1k or an SVsomethingorother or if i had a lot of money coming in, a 748 mono. But I'm NOT gonna get another project for at least a year. I'm just sick of falling over bike crap just to get to my bathroom.

Sounds like heaven to me! My wife wouldn't agree though, I'm sure! Fortunately, I rent a garage. So, what've you got there? From what bikes?

right now, I've got a Yamaha 850 triple (lowside damage-blows). A mostly complete Suzuki GS1100 with some mystery stator side rattle. A torn up 2000 R6 (80mph + car pool lane + 2x4 = lotsa damage). Of course my Hawk, and Monster are sitting happily in the 'I love you very very much' section of my lot.

You should be able to get some good prices for those, even with the damage - put 'em up on eBay. Got all the titles?

Of course, if you only want them out of your house, I have a garage in Queens and can give them lots of exercise...
