    I Got Promoted!

As you guys know i have not been around a bunch. I've been doing 55-60 hr weeks at the farm, then doing side work on trucks on top of that.

Well this week it paid off, my boss got let go and i was promoted to manager (like WTF, ). It comes with a free house with all utilities paid, use of a truck, full use of our shop space (6 bays, lifts, fully stocked but no machining tools), and being that i live there i will have aplenty of time to do some stuff!! If i work the same hours i save 12hrs a week in commute alone.

First up is i owe Eric, i have had his tail to paint since 1997 and he has been great, so im getting hat done, then the van gets some work!

This is a good thing for us. Pretty happy. Its my first time in management outside the I.T. world, so it is a little stressful, but it is nice that these 4:00am wake ups are paying off!!

Don't spend money and buy, spend time and learn.

          Congratulations 6 !

I had a buddy that got head hunted all the time back in the dot com explosion. So this guy takes him out to lunch and the pitched salary and perks are so over the top it caught him off guard with what he had imagined the pitch would be ... so after the pitch he was quite and didn't say anything ... to which the headhunter raised his offer up another ludicrous amount.

Lesson is, He who hesitates may get a higher offer.

It means he does the Maintenance. Cause it's his department. And when you're done w/dat......

Ok, well then lets clarify this. I have a full time and a part time guy that work in the department too, directly under me.... Weird thread turn. We also have three other people who work on the farm on the horse side who are not managers who can also help out when/if we need help on the maintenance side. Just as me and my guys will help out with the horses when needed. Then we have a general manager who is now my direct boss.

This is not a small or cheap operation.
