Wont be riding my bike to work this summer....

It has rained a lot here lately, but we have had a few days where it has been nice. Some guys at work have ridden lately, some ride rain or shine...harley guys. We have a large parking lot at work. The last 2 weeks 2 separate motorcycle were found by their owner laying over in its side when they got off work. There is no signs that they were hit. All signs point to someone just tipped them over. Yes, some people can be total azzes for no apparent reason other thna that. I will be fine just riding the bike on the wekeends and days off.....once I get her out for the winter and purring like a kitten again,

Hopefully they catch the azzhole(s) that tipped the 2 bikes over.

And for those wondering, the motorcycle parking spaces that are dedicated just for bikes and concrete, not asphalt, so no way the kickstands sinking would cause the tip overs.

            That sucks.
Found my bike on its side outside my office once. A witness said someone walked right into it while looking at his phone Apparently tried to pick it up, but the kickstand was bent from the impact so he just left it laying on the ground. Good times.

I had my 400 Hawk tipped in the parking lot by a kid I knew...backed into it and drove off. I was picking it up and getting ready to leave when he came back.He apologized for leaving and gave me $60 for a lever and a turn signal.I thought that was mighty white of him.

I feel like the “older generation” saying this, but, there seems to be a general decline in respect
for the property of others and just normal common courtesy is no longer normal.

Bikes and car parking......here in the “City of Brotherly Love”; car drivers are known to get pissed
that a bike is taking up “their” spot. “Why don’t you just park that on the sidewalk”? Most sidewalks are
8-10 feet wide, so if you don’t park in the middle, you aren’t blocking foot traffic. Well, you used to
be able to do that; now the city has decided that sidewalk parking is ok for bicycles and mopeds.
                  Motorcycles......$90 ticket.

We do now have some “motorcycle only” spots.....not enough or where they are needed and
car drivers will “oh, I didn’t see that sign”.

There was a community, up the nice river road from Philadelphia, that decided it would like to discourage
bike riders from meeting up at their Main Street breakfast places. They passed a law that allowed only
1 vehicle per parking spot. That law went away when several bike groups organized and we showed up
on Saturday and Sunday, at dawn, and occupied every spot “with one vehicle”. It took two weekends for the message to be received.

                      No cameras in the lot?

Bike alarm.... Can the bike be electrified?? Touch it and get zappped. Or, or!!!

This is a GREAT opportunity to get a second beater hawk and to ride that in enemy territory. Let your hawk become the Weeknd Warrior. Thats probably the move.

Motion actovared camera (or even a go pro mount and a sticker that says motion activated camera) couls also do.

I’m with 6, no cameras at a workplace?. It’s a shame that asshats do that stuff. Hawk’s small enough, maybe you can park up at a bike rack by the security shack?
