  • Surprise!!

Good morning, nice sunny cool beautiful day. Let's start the day out with a ride into town to get some supplies, maybe breakfast..

    Justin kidding!!

    IMG_20210623_113040.jpg

You where going to ride a tractor with a cup of coffee today.

    Not.

Truck truck is pissing fuel.. you look close to find broken rotted lines, a broken tank strap and the metal lines have corroded and expanded inside the plastic ones... fun fun

Breakfast, naw. Running fule lines fule punp to fuel rail... Yip.

    Here we go.

    Happy Wednesday y'all!!!

P.s. whatever broke the tank strap also broke a shock. So all 4 corners are getting some rancho love.

Wow, puts that, "when it rains, it pours", into perspective!

I had a friend with a "leaky" Ford Explorer and it ended up burning his house down starting from the garage a few days ago. My friend got out in time, thankfully.

There was enough gas leaked to ignite the vapors from a fridge my friend had in the garage.

Good luck with the repair yo!

Did you know you can drop a lit cigarette into a can of gas and it won't explode?

Yes. Yes I do. I have done it on occasion when people give me shit about smoking around gas. Its a very smug way to prove a point.

Oh that is a HIT! Way worse than my day hahah.

Although there where some additional casualties. . I had to replace every line in the EVAP system, and the OE fuel lines are no longer available, so i had to get a braided line "kit".. for $400

Then the kicker at the end. I start the truck, get a code "reduced Engine Performance" and the truck wont shut off. Turn it off, take the key out, nothing. Keeps om chugging. pull the lines from the bat, nope, keeps going on the alt... Thank god the bed was off so i could unplug the fuel pump.

Looks like i may have cut a pretty important ground while sawzalling the old lines out. Who knew?

While i have the bed off im doing a fresh coat of frame saver and then i'll put it back together.

All's well that ends well they say.

Yep, I put a Cigarette out ( 25 odd years ago ) with with a stream of Gas at the Gas Pump because a lady was yelling at me to put my Cigarette out because she was afraid. The look on her face said she pooped a little in her panties.

You know 6, if you stop abusing your equipment it wouldn't break down catastrophically so often.

I will vouch for it not being Andy, rather things seem to mysteriously break after his better half drives it

Isn't that the case with 90% of all women?

Head of a cigarette really isn't all that hot compared to things like.... . lets say a turbo manifold. Things that are all over the place that no one will double think bringing by a gas pump.

Drewster and I tried to harden an axe head one time. We read to heat the fuck out of it then quench it in oil. We filled a big Plastic 5 gallon bucket with oil..

We quenched.. the oil caught fire, melted the bucket and flowed out into my yard..

One if the many times someone called the fire department on us in that house.
