It's possible joel could shed some light on your VFR motor bits.

        Try http://homes.ottcommunications.com/~red/ for the builder,maybe.

I doubt it was a cheater motor, especially in 1998 somebody would have needed severe dedication to try racing a VFR against SRADs but probably built it for the hell of it or maybe WERA vintage that would have allowed it. I can't see the pictures on vfr forum.

thanks alot for the quick 411, joel. next, i guess i'll look hopefully for carillo rods.

i can't post pictures here cuz i always get a message saying "upload failed due to usergroup's upload limit"

any ideas about who did the cams stamped "NFI" or maybe "NFF" ???? intakes have .020" more lift than stock and alot more duration. RADICAL !!

NF1 is the HRC kit cam. Actually,NF1 is the code for all RC24 kit parts, when you tear it down you can see what else is in there.

Sure are. I'm curious as to what else they threw in there.

i was told that the pistons are Cosworth !!!!!

wow! my own little part of the famous F-1 DFV racing legend.

i'm going to need alot of info setting up the cams: timing, lobe centers, valve clearances. thanks for the info, joel !

Damn. all i wanted was a stock, running engine but got this instead, with complications.
