Hey guys, I have a 2002 CBR 954RR that i've just fallen in love with. I'd really like to get it track ready and possibly get an enhanced breaking system, put some steering dampers, or anything that might improve the riding quality. Anyone in the LA area like working on these types of bikes or know someone that I could link up with?

Good advise from JSpeed.
If you where in the other side of the country I'd offer to give a hand.
Decided early if it's a race bike or a track day bike.
Things like bodywork, damper, safety wire, over flows and things I'm forgetting will differ. Most important that you do upgrades that are allowed in the CLASS you want to run.
I've seen many guys build a race bike without first picking a class. Then just do the upgrades they want without checking the rule book. Then you end up in a class where you are drastically outgunned because you upgraded something that's not allowed in the class you best fit..
From my recollection the 954 has great brakes. Probably can get by with just lines and pads.
