  • A TransHawk Super Moto Frankenstein

Yeah, I suppose it has been done before. Hawk GT engine in a Transalp frame, with super moto tires and wheels, plus what look like some Africa Twin parts. Strange but still mesmerizing-- it reminds me of Dolly Parton or Milton Berle-- bizarre, but still you want to look at 'em.

[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] Finally time to let go of my beloved Honda Transalp AKA TransHawk....

It's an interesting looking bike. Would have looked far better if they had done a Supermoto fender on the front but not sure how easy it is to mate up with a 17 inch wheel.
88 Blue Hawk GT - Under construction but rideable (guest approved)
89 BlackHawk 2.0 - On the lift and being assembled
90 Hawk GT (color as to yet be determined) - Still on the shelf in crates

Having had a 1990 Transalp XL600V and several Hawks, the Hawk 647 engine is more lively. Different cams and different transmission ratios. But there is the weight difference, at least 30 lbs., carried way up high on the Transalp.

I think the "lipstick on a pig" analogy might apply to the above bike.
