  • Eric's 'new' MR-2

    Attention frinesi2 - Your new MR-2 awaits!

They're claiming it will come in at ~ $20K, has a Suzuki/Toyota designed, turbocharged 1.3 liter, I-3, producing a whopping 120 HP! I just wonder if I could get in and out of one!

Nothing like a project to keep you busy, slowly draining funds out of the wallet! - spacetiger

Our Hawks have all the power any mature, sensible rider can use on any street or highway without carrying around excessively unnecessary big-bore weight and power - squirrelman

Bike builds can be and most time are art and expression. To take something mass produced and impersonal and make something personal that you can't stop staring at as you walk away. There is nothing I find more satisfying than looking at something cool and beautiful and thinking "I made that". - 6

Did someone say mid-engine and cheap? The next-gen Toyota MR2 could really be the affordable sports car gearheads have been waiting for.

This article is suggesting it to be electric, which was about 2 months ago.
Toyota looks set to bring back the MR2 as an electric sports car, and we think it will be absolutely epic too.

Surprised as easy/cheap as HP is these days they wouldn't make it a ripper.

I'm waiting with bated breath to see if anything comes of these rumors, although I'd prefer a lightweight mid-engine coupe with a power-folding hard top and the G16E-GTS from the GR Yaris/Corolla.

Hello. Thank you for including me in the group. I recently acquired a “88 Hawk GT and am enjoying riding it and learning about it. I play with cars in the SCCA and am learning about maintaining cool motorcycles through my Hawk as well as a CB500T and CT110. I live in the greater Philadelphia area. Thanks for having me.

Seems to be the MO of Japanese car manufacturers. While they weren’t fire breathers, they were a blast in the twisties.

Came with the 1ZZ motor series, some dropped in the 2ZZ from the Celica for more performance…

Fortunate that I never had to take mine down to the pan. A definite reminder of how small these cars were/are.

                    Speaking of a ripper…

A simulation engineer from TRD visits our shop on occasion. His latest creation, a 911 wide body with a Tesla drive train. Never ridden in it, but rumors are it’ll scare the sh*t out of you…

Electric is the way of the future. I have the eco box EV Chevy Bolt and it puts a grin on my face when I punch it. That Porsche would be epic.

Holy guacomole that thing is pretty. I normally don't like black wheels but this kind of "stormtrooper-spec" is an exception.

Just drove down to Georgia to snag this carbon hardtop. It is shockingly light.
