I regularly ride with a friend who searched until he found a good VT500, and he likes it. He is a short fellow. On back roads, it moves along fine. I notice some smoke coming from Ryan's bike on acceleration, and I wonder if it is running right. Maybe down on power. When properly set up, they are not that bad.
