  • New Rubber time for the CB-1

Been on the lift for a bit while I have found ANYTHING else to do than set up the Station of Pain and shuck some tires. Have almost rebuilt a 1992 VFR off to the side in the time I've been avoiding it.

I have been bad and must be punished...

Not too bad coming off actually, pleasantly surprised.

Don't even remember what tires I bought for the CB-1, I was snatching tires up a while ago while I still could before the supply and prices went to shit.

I got one of the No-Mar changers but removing tires is still quite an effort. Putting on new ones is a piece of cake. Have you considered one? If you want, I have pieces of a HF changer if you want it to make a custom tire changer. It has the Mojo blocks to prevent marring. Just PM me.

Nicely done, Cap! I see you tucked the tail light. Love the Yosh exhaust. Any exhaust is hard to find on these bikes.

Thanks Eric, I created that exhaust with stock headers and a Yoshi slip on for a CBR600F2. It was very close, but worked out good. I'm actually going back to the Sudco headers I have for it since I found the correct Sudco muffler for it. The original muffler that was sold with the kit was a large diameter non-rebuildable race unit that just wasn't right (because the correct one had been pilfered by their sales dept).

Nice. Mounting tires is one of the less fun things we have to do working on motorcycles. .

Is that a factory color? I only ever remember blue (and maybe black?) which is nice, but that looks great in red and I don't usually like red.

Nope, well not for this bike. I restored this for my wife and wanted a color that wasn't stock, but could look like Honda did it maybe for another market. 94 - 97 VFR Pure Red with extra gold metallic and Factory Honda decals Frame, swingarm, triples powder coated. .

I always liked that shade of grey. The new PC color matches the factory wheels. The red makes it look like its from the RoW market.

                      Wow - stunning!

Surprised you're still running the rubber brake lines.

I built it for my wife a lifetime ago, when it wasn't that old. The brakes actually still work really good, but I plan on replacing the front line when I update the front suspension soon.

Spent the day on it yesterday, goddam is it fun. The new tires are amazing, this thing rails.
