Speedvision? There is a god! Daytona Race TV schedule here!!

I have been trying to find out why speedvision isn't covering AMA superbike and the supporting classes anymore. They do have Supercross but imho who cares? Stewart is probably going to win unless Carmical is there and jumping motocross bikes pales in excitement to seeing race bikes at speed at Daytona or any other road race track for that matter. Please help me put some pressure on Nascarvision..., I mean speedvision to put these races back on the schedule! Tell Speedvision we want world superbike and moto gp too! Speedvision.com

write often and tell them you want more motorcycle racing!

I wrote to the American Motorcyclist Association about my complaint and recieved this reply:

Ed,

We have not rec'd the final broadcast schedule for 2007, but AMA Superbike will be televised. Please check back in the coming weeks.

Subject: AMA Superbike TV coverage?

Why are these races not listed as being on TV? I was counting on
Speedvision for Daytona at least, but all I see is a listing for
Supercross. If they are going to be set up for that why are they not doing
superbike, which is way better than supercross in my book?

There are plenty of internet petitions circling around if you want to sign them. They're all saying what the majority of the racing world is thinking: That NASCAR is archaic, bottom feeder entertainment that does little to nothing to advance automotive technology, and that it pales in importance and excitement compared to almost any other form of racing available.

An exception to that heirarchal basement spot is the largely postapocalyptic research being done in the swamp buggy, powerboat drag racing, and monster truck racing fields, just in case we get hit by an asteroid and all the roads melt.

It was a great channel before ABC (or was it CBS) bought them. They would show damn near anything with a engine you could race like Remote controlled cars, Go karts, and my favorite the shifter carts!
It amazes me how they spend as much time as they do talking about nothing err NASCAR.
