The Racing/Track section doesn't get nearly enough traffic. So it really bums me out when there's a new post and it turns out to be spam instead of track pics and stories
I really need to buy some from Gron, Dawn, and SplitSecond to support those guys (and gal). There are definitely some good ones there too, but free is always good too
Here's a few shots from last weekend at VIR w/ NESBA
Oak Tree
Turn 3 on North Course I think
It was an excellent weekend. After a quick rainstorm on sunday, a lot of people packed up, leaving the rest of us with a dry, open track for the last hour and a half of the day on the south course. Rode the north course on monday for the first time which was amazing. I love that course. Got bumped up to the "I" group as well.
Anyone going to Summit Point this weekend? I'm going to be riding the Jefferson Course on Sunday.
Nice ones Ceej! I did my first trackday with NESBA down at Tally GP, nice folks. VIR South is where I went down(fish hook) and broke my fingers. Haven't tried North yet, maybe before the end of the season

Ouch! I've had two people crash directly in front of me in the fish hook, so it's not just you. One guy tucked the front and another slid the rear out and got bucked off in a somewhat highside. It's a tricky corner, I always feel like I could be faster thru it, just haven't found out how yet.
I am a little bummed that NESBA isn't having anymore VIR north/south days this season, is there another track day organization that is going there? After this weekend, I'm planning to get one more weekend in at summit at the end of october.
Good luck with the fingers, I'm sure it must make writing responses a bit more time consuming.
Started the day late because I left my key in Raleigh. Started getting my knee down and passing a GSXR. Hauling ass down the spiral and through turn 6 around the GSXR let my concentration lapse for a split second and didn't get setup for the fish hook. Thats all it took, but the bike was ok
