Hey guys, new to the forum and my '89 hawk. Got it from a buddy of mine as my first beginner bike, I've done about 2800 miles since I got it in July mostly on two trips to the mountains. (I live in straight road hell)

I'm interested in going up to VIR but I don't know whats up as far as getting qualified for track days, what training/instruction is available etc. I'd love to get up there to ride and see what some experienced riders can do with the hawk.

Thanks for any info you have.

                Hey Richard,
I have never bee to VIR either and I have only done 2 trackdays but I am starting racng next year.
                This might help.

                or

You need save money and get all the gear first, Leathers and boots etc, the prep your bike, save more money, and get to a trackday.

This VIR trip is doable for you because you do not need to be a racer to go.
PM me if you have more questions, it is getting late and I gotta go to bed.

Thanks Doc, If the kangaroo fairy doesn't visit me between now and April with a nice new set of leathers I hear you can rent them from some of the track day organizers if you book in advance. And my hawk is already race tied and ready to go. Of course there's always much needed tire money.
