I don't have much new video but a bunch has happened.
Two events ago he moves me up to division 1 at action park because he was short a rider to have 4 full grids. I ran my normal D2 class and the D1 races.
Through attrition more than anything I made my first D1 Main event!!!! That in itself is a goal I never thought I would reach! Being out there for rider announcements before the race was weird, standing next to these dudes I look up to. And of course I fucked it up because I didn't know the whole process and where I was supposed to stand and wave and when I was supposed to fire the bike. So I looked like an idiot, but an idiot in the main event, so I'll take that.
Raced D2 only at Champion Speedway the next day, didn't run great and took a second in the main.
Last weekend was Champion Speedway only and he had me again run D1 and D2 even though he had the riders to fill plenty of grids.
It's like running an iron man. You race every couple of races all night long. It is intense. He has done this to people before. It's like trial by fire, a right of passage. You get the shit kicked out of you for a few races before you move up. It's grueling, but fun.
I didn't make the main in D1 I just made the semi by the skin of my teath and honestly I don't even remember what happened in D2. It was a win or second because that's what I was getting all night long in that class.
But bottom line, I won the first $$ I have ever won racing speedway and I got paid to ride two race weekend in a row!!
That's a huge come up in my world. Very stoked on speedway racing right now.
Going to action park and champion this weekend Friday and Saturday for the continuation of the U.S. Open.
