My first post, East Coast Canadian

Hello guys and girls, I am just joining up because I am very close to closing a deal on a Hawk GT race bike. I have been racing a 1990 VTR250 since 2014 at Shubenacadie Nova Scotia and love it, the bike is heavily developed and competitive in the Lightweight 250 and 400 classes. I also race it in Thunder and sometimes Open Vintage for extra fun and track time.

People often ask me when i am getting a 600, I always say "Never, but I would like to build a Hawk GT if I was to have a second bike." I was at the races a couple weeks ago and a local long time racer was making small talk and asked me about bicycles as I am a dealer. He said he had a Two Brothers Hawk GT he would like to sell to buy a nice road bike and the wheels started turning. He said "would you maybe have any interest in doing a trade?" and I haven't stop thinking about it since.

I will include some pics of me on the VTR for fun.

Welcome. Good to hear from another VTR250 owner.

I've had my 1989 VTR250 for 8 years, for pleasure riding, not racing.
I bought my 1988 Hawk GT last October, again for pleasure riding.

Both are great bikes and complement each other in several ways.
          Both are joys to ride.

So, if you like racing the 250, I think you will also enjoy the 650.

          Ride safely,

Here’s most of the pics he sent tonight Very impressed! There’s a F2 and F4 front end and lots of spares.
””It has a 700 cc motor with a total loss ignition/upgraded carbs VFR750 radiator and a stepped Two Brothers race pipe. The frame has been repolished and RC30 stand repainted.I did the rear brake line modification that runs thru the swing arm.””

Hope we have enough data bandwidth since Spot likes to over-post every time he changes anything on his bike ! 95 posts on VTR 250.com, the most ever !

anytime he decides to adjust his tire pressure + or- 1 psi we're gonna know about it.

And Squirrelman is guaranteed to make an annoying post in every thread, lol I always thought forums were a place to find and share information, for some it's just a place to complain...
BTW I have never heard of VTR 250.com, is that new??
