I bought a rattle can of black ceramic coat paint at an auto parts store. I cleaned up my rusted pipes as much as I could with a wire brush, then sandpaper. I used an air gun to get all the dust off. Next I sprayed the pipes. The can had instructions- you have to bake them in the oven to a certain temp, let it cool, do it again, etc. Then finally re-install and run the bike to bring up to temp again, etc. so far they look good. I have this before photo: (in the condition of the bike when I bought it)
I'll post a new picture tomarrow showing the ceramic coated pipes.

thanks Doc! but.... too late- the corbin is gone, replaced by an ebay stocker! You'll see the pics tomarrow - still need to pull the plugs, though. Bring your trick plug wrench when you come for Daytona- but I will have to get my own some day of course
It's $19 for 4 oz. That should do two sets easy. I did my whole system, and did the back part twice, and still only used about two oz.
And yeah, the stuff does stink. Luckily, I have an electric oven in the garage just for this kind of stuff. I picked it up for powdercoating, but it comes in handy for this stuff.
This stuff required that you abrasive blast the part, then bake it at 500* to bake out all oils and contaminants. Then you spray it, bake it at 500* again for an hour. When it is done it is a dull white color. Then you take some extra fine steel wool to it and it polishes right up. IT's kinda crazy, the liquid is an olive drab green color before it dries.

I will bring it. Just remind me. I have a habit of forgetting.

Looks great Brad! Dd you do your own wheel powdercoatings? They look great also. I may have to add an electric oven to my list of "tools" needed.
Actually the wheels happened to be black from the factory. I just got lucky enough to get a matched set.
I still don't have the powder coat gun. I plan on getting one in a few weeks. A guy at work was going to throw the oven away, and I had been planning on getting set up to powder coat, so I snagged it.
