    Grrl Scout ride pics

Jeannie, the Hawk Calendar Grrl, asked for pics for the '08 calendar, and John Kokola and I were only too happy to oblige. Here are some pics from the ride, we'll do the route again 'cause there were just too many photo ops & we didn't want to keep on stopping. A bunch of the pics were taken by JK while he was riding. He's on his BMW "Camel", I'm on my Hawk GT.

    Enjoy.

Thanks for the replies- nope, it's not the stock Hawk black (which is actually a very dark blue metallic). Can't "Blame Canada" for this one, it's a NY bike. It's a blue '88 somebody painted black- you can still see the blue through the decals, but it looks good. You can see the decal in this "joEL tribute" pic here:

...that also drops you into the photo gallery of my Hawk, so you can see its evolution from stock-but-painted to what it is now.

Whoever painted it did a good job masking the logo- in the photos from a few feet away it looks stock. Nice location- what state are they from?

The pics are from a trip we took along the VA/WV border, crossing at 33 from Harrisonburg, down 21/25/220 and some others I can't remember, then back & forth a bit on 250, putting us back in VA.

            There's a possibility we'll be doing a similar ride on 9/22...
