Never seen this on a Hawk before...

I was thumbing through my "Other Hawk pics" folder tonight and found this..... I don't remember downloading it... anyone know anything about it or about it's mods? With the exception of the clip-ons, mirrors, paint and that crazy tail, it looks all stock - even the exhaust... ???

But that tail..... damn... is there even a subframe in there?

THAT is what I'd like to do with mine, just a shade different... and probably red...

    It`s, it`s hideous
What was the start of all this?
When did the cogs of my Hawk begin to turn?
Perhaps it is impossible to grasp the answer now,
from deep within the flow of time...

But, for a certainty, back then,
I loved it so much, yet hated so many.
I hurt others and was hurt myself...

Yet even then, I rode like the wind,
    whilst my laughter echoed
    under cerulean skies...

I take back my words. it`s lovely. I adore it. I want it. I shall force it to mate with my hawk so its offspring shall be Uber Hawks. or something...

I`m getting silly. time to open a window around here

            the owner made it himself

its fiberglass and the tail lights are out of a impaula or thinderbird

last time he posted he was talking about selling that tail so he can make another one a little different.

              Yes indeed that is me
I did make it out of fiberglass with a 1x1 steel box tubing subframe inside it. I bought the bike as a basket case with MANY parts missing. I didn't want to buy all the factory parts, so I made my own. Most people think it is a ducati because of the single sided swing arm, but every once in a while I get a hawk fanatic that actually knows what it REALLY is! It does have 64 Impala tail lights with the directionals build into them, and a hollowed stock exhaust (which I hate). You can see more pictures on my website http://www.hotrodcoffeeshop.com/foru...topic.php?t=14
I do want to make a new subframe and tail section for it this winter, but we'll see. I may or may not depending on my spare time and ambition.

surferdude - Yes I do have a 1989 Dodge Ram 50 (mightymax) with a 1991 turbocharged mitsubishi Eclipse engine in it. This build can also be seen on my website.

Dash - Don't worry, we can still be friends but it is only fair that I do this in return

                COOL! Nice and low sleeper.

                I've owned a few Starion/Conquest's and 2 DSM AWD's in my time - I love Mitsu turbo's!!!

Rock on! I personally like it... I like that Mighty Max, too... I used to race a '91 AWD Eclipse and those 2.0's are BEASTS! I finally laid mine to rest at 221,000 miles with a blown head gasket. We drove it over 15 miles completely dry and red hot. Next day, it started right up. It was, however, on it's 4th transmission... those tranny's never lasted very long. If it wasn't for the trans, I would have rebuilt the engine. Oh well...

ahhhh... the days BEFORE Fast and Furious....

Are you reading my mind for my Hawk "Version 2.0" ?
I agree, that would be awesome!

P.S. Someone asked about mods, and the only ones that were missed was the visor over the headlight + different headlight brackets, bigger jets and pod filters, and now it has an RC51 master cylinder/Lever for the front brakes.

I had over 240k miles on my 90 GSX and it was still running hard after I sold it to a kid in Philly. Drag raced it 31 times straight during a Test & Tune day when it had 239k miles on it. Ran consistent low-mid 14's all day and never had a problem with the original tranny. That thing was a freak of engineering and ate up WRX's for lunch.
