No me in the photo; but most memorable; and I still have it. I have put 40K miles on it and counting.
It does feel a bit unloved....since I got the Hawk. Nothing left to do on it and Hawk has plenty to do....
the project is almost as fun as the riding.

OK , I'm going to turn the way back machine to 1981 This photo was taken in Berkeley early in the morning heading off to my electricians apprenticeship job.

A 22 y/o me with my then gf Jessica. Her brother in law was part owner in a small company in Oakland with 15 electricians. Yup long hair and a mustache ... bought the bike ( RD400 Daytona Special ) off the showroom floor and commuted to work everyday rain or shine on Hwy 580. .. coming home I always had the option of taking Skyline blvd. which was the twisty road on the top of the ridge ... Sorry about the poor quality I just took a digital picture of the photo ... my scanner needs some configuration and I wasn't up to doing that right now

I'll update this photo with the scanned version when I get my shit together ...

meanwhile dig out those old photos and post em up !

This is my first twin and first restoration. Knew I didn't have digitals of it. Thanks for reminding me of the work-around SPA.
It was memorable and led to the RS I posted above.

My first twin was my Hawk, the first twin I rode was my mom's VTR250,my first motorcycle was a CBR600,my second was a CBR900. My first Hawk was a graduation present from my brother. Since then I don't know how many bikes I've had,70-80. The most I had at one time was 20something but I'm down to around a dozen now.
