My first was my first hawk, you can see her here at 1:48 in:

That hawk went back to its previous owner, who had a case of seller's remorse.
      '89 Hawk a.k.a. The RallyHawk (my son's now!) | '89 Hawk a.k.a. The Deuce | Spare Parts/Dented Learner Bike | '13 Tacoma | '69 Falcon (currently getting reassembled! )

I've spent most of my money on women, beer, cars and motorcycles. The rest of it I just wasted.

Likely couldnt tell you snot about it now a days. Remember I thought I was going to fly off of it the first time I went WOT. Back then its like everything was just working up to getting a SS. That was the illusive goal. 10 years on, still never had one! When I had my FZ09 getting on the Zed was so boring. I rode it the other day however and near had a heart attack! Really enjoyed myself riding a 2017 Z650 the other day as well. Great riding position and a punchy little son of a gun!

When I got the Hawk I thought it was pretty fast.

My first twin is when I bought my brother's '71 Honda CB-350 in 1975 or '76. Rode it from Akron, Ohio to Tallahassee, Florida. It was just a little buzzy on that trip. I dumped it in a rest area on I-71 Southern Ohio, bending the handle bars and punching a hole in the side cover right behind the gear shifter. I tipped it on its side (or leaned it over) to avoid dumping oil all over the rest area parking lot, cleaned the outside of the cover and pugged the hole by taping over it with duct tape. It held until I got to a small bike shop outside of Cincinnati. The owner took pity on me, help me bend the bars out to be more useable, replaced the hand brake lever and was able to replace my side cover, all on the cheap. I have to add that it was very fun having that bike in Tallahassee that summer.
I'll see if I can find some old photos of it.

Incidentally, I also busted my ass when I dumped that bike.
